Although the anti-corruption measures of the Chinese government will inhibit the demand for luxury goods, with the continuous improvement of living standards, Chinese consumers' awareness and demand for high-end consumer goods are rising.
China's luxury market actually has considerable consumption potential.
The report pointed out that although the consumption of domestic luxury goods in China decreased by 11% over the same period last year, it was 25 billion yuan, but the global luxury consumption of Chinese consumers reached 106 billion US dollars, accounting for 46% of the global luxury consumption. It is still the world's largest luxury consumer group. 76% of the luxury goods consumption occurred outside the country, a 9 percentage point increase over the previous year's 67%, and the external luxury consumption growth in the opposite direction increased by 9% at the rate of growth of 25 billion.
Luxury consumption in China is becoming hot and cold, coupled with China's high store rentals and other reasons, luxury brands have reduced their selling prices in China.
In March 18th, Chanel (Chanel) made a price tag in China, and the price of the whole product was reduced by 20%.
Since then, more front-line luxury brands have slash prices or have plans to cut prices.
These include the Swiss high-end wrist watch brand Patek Philippe (Patek Philippe); LVMH group's watch brand TAG Heuer.
And Versace CEO has told the media that it is "closely watching" competitors' actions and is reviewing its pricing mechanism. If there is any adjustment, it will be implemented in May.
The price reduction of luxury goods led by Chanel has led to the difference between the domestic and overseas prices of luxury goods. This phenomenon is the first time, causing great consumption enthusiasm.

The Consumer Economics Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce said that this will be a signal of the return of luxury consumption, and that the luxury market will rise rapidly in the short term. This year, the high-end consumer goods market will usher in a buying boom and will continue for a period of time.

The taste of Chinese consumers is improving day by day, and there is a stronger desire to buy high-end products.
From the perspective of daily life consumption, consumers are more and more interested in high-end products with superior quality, beautiful appearance, energy saving and environmental protection.
From the perspective of automobile consumption, the top ten luxury car brands in China also have a minimum growth rate of 15%.
On the other hand, the high-end consumer groups, especially the high-end high-end consumer groups are gradually younger.
With the acceleration of internationalization and the reduction of the price of luxury goods, young people will become the main force of consumption. Many luxury consumers are beginning to focus on young people under 40 years old, and the consumer group is constantly sinking.
