Indonesian Trikomsel Announces Partnership With Singapore Post

Trikomsel, one of the largest mobile device retailers, announced a partnership with Singapore Post in March 9, 2015 to boost Indonesia's booming e-commerce.

In the March 9th report, it was learned that the two giants did not disclose the name of the joint venture company and the nature of the company.

The project will channel Trikomsel's distribution in Indonesia.

The technology of logistics and e-commerce is combined.

Although no details of the project were revealed, the company stated in a statement that its goal is to provide customers with a complete online shopping experience.

In this cooperation, Trikomsel will hold 67% of the shares, while the remaining 33% will be owned by Singapore Post, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Post E-commerce.

Similar to aCommerce, Singapore Post provides a full range of services for the electricity supplier, such as technology application, operation management, warehousing, distribution, payment, parcel collection, digital marketing and after-sale support.

Trikomsel President Sugiono Wiyono said: "we have professional knowledge, technology and strong resource advantages, this cooperation will achieve the desired goals and provide new services for Indonesian people."

Wolfgang Baier, chief executive of Singapore Post Group, said he shares the same opinion because Indonesia is expected to soon become the third largest consumer in the world.
