Coach Gets $257 Million In Anti Counterfeiting Cases.

November 5, 2012, the high-end fashion brand Coach, Inc, New York.

(New York stock exchange code: COH; stock exchange of Hongkong Stock Code: 6388) today announced that in the lawsuit filed by the federal court of Illinois in the United States for the sale of counterfeit Coach products on the website, the compensation was awarded to US $257 million in the absence of the defendant's judgment.

The judgment is the latest victory of Coach in anti counterfeiting operations.

Coach launched a comprehensive anti counterfeiting action called "Operation Turnlock" in May 2009.

Operation Turnlock action is aimed at increasing the difficulty of selling counterfeit goods business and combating any counterfeiting.

The judgment is a warning to all relevant business people engaged in counterfeit goods - Coach will find these infringers and resort to the most severe punishment.


Nancy Axilrod, vice president and deputy general counsel of Coach, said: "in addition to the indemnity judgment, Coach is also a major success in obtaining the ownership of Internet domain names used by defendants in illegal operations.

All illegal websites containing the "Coach" Internet domain name may be confounded by the defendant, making them mistakenly believe that they are buying genuine Coach products.


Since the launch of Operation Turnlock, Coach has filed a lawsuit against all participants in the majority of counterfeit goods supply chain, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, website operators, and cheap market operators and owners for the sale of counterfeit goods operators, and has made substantial cash compensation.


Coach, headquartered in New York, is a leading beauty and accessories brand in the United States. Its products include handbags, men's bags, men's women's leather goods, leisure and travel accessories.
