The Footwear Association (AAFA) welcomes the proposal by Patrick Leahy (PatrickLeahy) (D-Vt.) and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Olin Hacci (OrrinHatch) (R-Utah) that the intellectual property protection act 2011 proposed by Charles ChuckGrassley (R-Iowa) and seven co sponsors prevent the real economic creativity network from being dangerous and theft.

The specific target of the law is rogue websites, which are used by these websites.

"Footwear, clothing and fashion accessories are the most common counterfeit products in the world," said Kevin Burke, President and chief executive officer of AAFA.

These rogue websites look and feel like legitimate websites, which pose a threat to us brands and disrupt the market with harmful and counterfeit goods.
