Anti Dumping Duty On Chinese Footwear In Mexico

Chinese made footwear, including garments, and other consumer and durable goods made in China, will be reduced to general duties in December 12, 2012.

Mexico

In recent 2 years, the footwear associations have repeatedly called on the government to continue to take measures to prevent dumping of Chinese products at low prices.

From April 1993 onwards,

Chinese shoe making

The anti-dumping duty was levied from October 15, 2008 to a high tariff period which was lower than the anti-dumping duty. Until December 12, 2011, the high tariffs were lifted. The footwear industry in Mexico was protected by the government for 19 years. But during this period, the industry did not seem to have made significant progress.

The reason for this case is that Mexico has lifted 935 products from mainland China since October 15, 2008.

Anti-dumping duty

It includes bicycles, bicycle covers, shoes and parts, etc.

In particular, the footwear industry and garment industry have repeatedly asked for a longer period of high tariffs. However, the Cesar Hernandez of the Ministry of foreign trade of the Ministry of economic affairs of Mexico has made it clear in the first half of December 2011 that it is impossible to extend the future. The only defense pipeline in the future is to ask the Ministry of economic affairs to investigate if Chinese products are dumping at a low price.
